Split – Supetar ferry (line 631): the busiest way onto Brač, with one fare all year

Twelve sailings each way on a weekday, a 50-minute crossing and a €6.50 foot-passenger fare that does not rise in summer: that is line 631 between Split and Brač until 31 December 2026. The first boat leaves at 05:00, the last from Split at 23:59.

Twelve departures in each direction on weekdays and eleven at weekends: that is how often line 631 sails outside the summer months. The first ferry leaves Split at 05:00, then 06:15 and 07:30, and the last pulls out at 23:59. From Supetar the day also starts at 05:00 and ends with the 22:45, so a day trip to the island can easily stretch into dinner.

Two figures stay fixed all year: fifty minutes at sea and €6.50 for an adult. Most Croatian state ferries charge more between late May and September, but this one does not, so the only thing that changes with the seasons is the frequency. From June to September there were fourteen sailings a day; since 1 October there have been twelve.

From 1 November the one difference concerns early risers. The 05:00 boats on both sides run only Monday to Friday, so on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays you start with the 06:15. Jadrolinija operates the route for the state shipping agency, and the timetable it prints matches the agency's own.

From 5 am to midnight, with a later start at weekends

One price for August and November

Unusually for Dalmatia, line 631 has no summer surcharge. The 2026 price list has a single all-year column, so an adult pays €6.50 in August and in November alike, and a child (3–12) pays €3.20. An ordinary car costs €26.10; anything over five metres long or two metres high is charged €40.30.

The car fare covers the vehicle only. The driver and every passenger also need their own €6.50 ticket, bought alongside the vehicle ticket. Going back from Supetar costs exactly what you paid on the way out, with port charges and VAT already included.

All-year fares 2026
Adult€ 6.50
Child aged 3–12€ 3.20
Car up to 5 m long and 2 m high€ 26.10
Car over 5 m or over 2 m high€ 40.30
Motorbike or moped€ 12.90
Bicycle€ 6.20
Caravan or camper up to 5 m€ 42.90
Babies under one travel without a ticket; toddlers between one and three ride free but are issued one. The cheaper island tariff (€2.40 per person) needs a Croatian island resident card, issued to islanders only.

All-year tariff, 1 January – 31 December 2026; island-resident, child and public-service rates also apply all year · checked 26 October 2026   AOLPP – line 631 fares 2026 (page 2) · 2026-10-26

Finding the right quay in Split, arriving in Supetar

Split ferry port (berths 20, 23 and 24)

Split ferry port, Gat sv. Duje · City of Split

Supetar ferries use the numbered car-ferry berths of Split's main port, near Gat sv. Duje, and the berth can change from one sailing to the next. The port authority's list for Friday 23 October 2026 put the line on berths 20, 23 and 24, served by the ferries Marjan, Hrvat and Tin Ujević. The map shows berth 20, which handled most departures that day; screens on the quay give the berth for each sailing.

Supetar ferry landing

Ferry landing, Supetar · Town of Supetar

In Supetar the ferry docks in the town itself rather than at an outlying terminal, so foot passengers arrive in the centre of the island's largest settlement. The first boat back to Split leaves at 05:00 on weekdays and the last at 22:45, which makes an evening return easy.

Fifty minutes across the Brač Channel

Leaving Split harbour, the boat points south over the Brač Channel and docks at Supetar on the island's north coast without calling anywhere else. The agency and the operator both print 50 minutes per crossing; the length of the route in kilometres is not given.

Before you board in Split

  • Missed your boat?

Jadrolinija accepts a ticket for this line on a later boat the same day, so you simply take the next one.

  • Bringing a hire car

Drivers pay for the car and, separately, for themselves; campers and motorbikes are carried too.

  • The 05:00 boat

From November it runs Monday to Friday only, and not on public holidays.

  • Luggage

Suitcases and backpacks travel free unless a single passenger's bags top 20 kg.

  • Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve

No late sailings (23:59 from Split, 22:45 from Supetar) on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's Eve.

Supetar and the other gateways to Brač

According to Jadrolinija, Brač is Croatia's third-largest island and Supetar its largest town; Vidova gora, at 780 m, is the highest peak of any Adriatic island. Supetar is not the only way in. The car ferry from Makarska to Sumartin lands at the island's eastern tip, and Krilo's catamaran calling at Rogač and Milna serves the west. From the same ferry port in Split, the car ferry to Stari Grad on Hvar sails three times a day.

A fast passenger boat run commercially by Kapetan Luka – Krilo also links Split and Supetar. Its timetable on the AOLPP website and the departures shown for the same day by the Split port authority do not match, so we do not list its times here.
